Budget: $6,000 per artist
Artists with personal ties to railroad history are invited to submit for consideration to create artwork centered on stories of ancestors who built the transcontinental railroad. Descendants of this labor or of Indigenous communities who were displaced because of this labor are encouraged to apply. Visual and performing artists are welcome to submit. Several artists may be selected.
Se invita a los artistas que tengan lazos personales con la historia ferroviaria a someterse a consideración para crear un trabajo artístico centrado en las historias de sus antepasados que construyeron el ferrocarril transcontinental. Se alienta a que hagan su presentación los descendientes de quienes realizaron esta labor o de comunidades indígenas que fueron desplazadas debido a esta labor. Se recibirá a artistas visuales y escénicos. Es posible que se seleccione a varios artistas.
