Emma Adams, Amanda Kuster, Jennifer Power, Adam Skadsen

The Microbe Mural is on the fence by 4th Street Studios on S. 4th Street and Grand Avenue.

Four artists joined forces to create a colorful artwork featuring larger than life microbial organisms. The mural was completed during the 2020 Fermentation Festival hosted by Science Loves Art. All four artists were present to live paint during the event.

The mural was funded by Science Loves Art and Laramie Public Art Coalition.

Artist bios:
Emma Adams
I own Emagined Artwork and I create fun, colorful abstract paintings! I have done several shows in Laramie bringing joy and inspiration! My artwork shows that women are not meant to be sexualized but to be appreciated and treated equally! I have been in Laramie for three years now, loving every minute of it. I became a resident my first year. I am here attending school for outdoor guiding and to share my art with the community of Laramie.

Amanda Kuster
Amanda Kuster (Keester), arrived in Laramie, WY in Oct. 2018. Kuster prefers acrylic and pastel chalk for most projects. Her paintings have been sold as local art fairs, and she even designed and installed a logo for Jitters - a coffee shop - storefront window during her undergraduate years at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Kuster works at the University of Wyoming as the Student Activities Advisor for 7220 Entertainment, and practices stand-up comedy whenever there is open-mic night

Jennifer Power
Hi I'm Jennifer - owner, artist, and designer of Jennifer Power Art & Design. My background is in both art and graphic design. I went to Appalachian State university and graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Graphic Design. By starting my own freelance business, I have the opportunity to provide graphic design services for local businesses and create and sell artwork! Painting has been a hobby of mine for as long as I can remember. Flowers and botanicals are my main inspirations - they are beautiful, colorful and calming to paint.

Adam Skadsen
Adam Skadsen is an artist/muralist who uses many different media to explore the genres of abstract, post-modernism, and surrealism. You can see some of his mural art on the exterior walls of businesses in Laramie Wyoming; the Cooked Fish (Gill St) and Rollin in the Sun (S. 2nd St and E. Kearney St.). Adam finds his inspiration in the mountains and most days in the summer you can find him drawing along hiking trails in the Snowy Range or painting ridiculous stuff on the free walls.
