In this workshop, Artist Carter Peverley will teach participants the ins and outs of coffee starting with the roasting process all the way through preparation and serving of a cup. The main part of the workshop will be demonstrating and teaching the class the basics of latte art. Participants will learn about espresso grind, pulling espresso shots, steaming milk, and most importantly, the best way to create art on top of every cup of coffee.

About Carter Peverley:

I’ve been in the coffee business for nearly eight years, beginning my journey as a night-shift barista and working my way up to becoming an owner of Metro Coffee Company. Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow not only as a coffee professional, but also as a leader and member of my community. My favorite part of this journey has been the people I’ve met along the way, especially the connections I’ve built with our community and my employees. Along the way, I learned the art of roasting and have continued to refine my craft, from roasting coffee to creating great drinks behind the bar. I’m passionate about constantly learning, improving, and sharing my love for coffee with the people around me.
