Continuous Strand Weaving
Continuous Strand Weaving
Get ready to weave! Join local fiber artist, Claire Pearson, and learn continuous strand weaving on a 12” Triangular Loom. Continuous strand weaving is a unique, unconventional weaving technique that creates fabric by weaving the warp and weft simultaneously. This technique bypasses time consuming set-up and produces minimal yarn waste compared to traditional weaving, making it a great method for the budding weaver! Participants will learn to weave a 12” triangle using the continuous strand method- these triangles can then be used for bandanas, pennants, and so much more!
Pearson is a multi-disciplinary fiber artist that splits her time between the High Plains of Wyoming and the High Deserts of Arizona. She has been creating and sharing her art in a professional capacity for over a decade and is currently a member of Jackrabbit Workshop.
