How to Create a Compelling Proposal
How to Create a Compelling Proposal
Often, a proposal may be the only representation of you and your work a gallery, selection committee, or other entity will see - let's learn how to capitalize on those influential pages! In this workshop, artist Ismael Dominguez will cover the key parts of a proposal, how to dissect the application, the building blocks of a successful proposal, and the best language to use depending on the scenario.
Born and raised in rural Wyoming, Ismael Dominguez attended Northwest College and received his Associate of Arts degree before transferring to the University of Wyoming where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Sculpture and Metalsmithing. After graduating, he assumed a Post-Undergraduate Assistantship in the Metalsmithing department for the academic year 2020-2021. Ismael has had recent works in the ART321 Gallery in Casper, Wy as well as having work included in the Governor's Capitol Art Exhibition 2022 in Cheyenne, Wy. As a way of deconstructing the paywall that bars many from arts education, he also has structured a free sculptural beading course in association with the Albany County Public Library of Laramie, Wy and Creative Aging. Currently, he resides in Laramie, Wy cultivating his life and studio practice with his husband and dogs.
